PHOENIX Pharma has officially opened its renovated regional centre in Plovdiv (Bulgaria). The event was attended by clients, partners and representatives of the academic community.
The modernisation project involved a total investment of €1.5 million. As a result, the goods receiving and dispatch areas have been expanded, along with the specialised storage facilities. New conventional racking, dynamic roller racking, an automated conveyor system for storage and dispatch, and new storage and lifting equipment have also been installed.

Particular attention was paid to renovating the office area, transforming the Plovdiv Regional Centre into a venue for important regional and international meetings.
The regional centre’s photovoltaic system has also been upgraded and expanded, increasing its capacity from 30 to 159.36 kWp. The expansion is expected to reduce carbon emissions by 90 tonnes per year.
The Plovdiv Regional Centre supplies pharmaceutical products to nearly 1,000 pharmacies and more than 40 hospitals in Plovdiv and the surrounding region. It employs 180 people, nearly 90 of whom work in operations and logistics. The office space is also used by employees of the PHOENIX Group’s IT hub in Bulgaria.

“Our investment in the Plovdiv Regional Centre demonstrates the strategic importance of Plovdiv and the surrounding region to us. We have invested care and thought for the future in this project, and we hope to be even closer to our customers’ needs,” said Nikolay Kolev, Managing Director and Chairman of the Board of Directors of PHOENIX Pharma.
