On 24–25 November 2026, Estonian and international healthcare experts will gather at Kultuurikatel in Tallinn for the Future Hospital 2026 conference.
Over two days, speakers will explore how Estonia can build a modern, high-quality and sustainable healthcare system in response to growing demand for treatment, staff shortages, rapid technological development and rising expectations for patient-centred care.
The conference will feature a parallel programme across eight halls, covering topics ranging from psychological safety and crisis medicine to toxicology, intensive care and artificial intelligence.
The programme will bring together experts from clinical practice, research and healthcare-system development to share experiences and discuss new approaches to patient care.
Key topics
The conference will focus on:
- the role of academic hospitals and the quality of care they provide;
- advances in neuroscience and precision medicine;
- psychological safety and teamwork in healthcare;
- applying artificial intelligence and new technologies in clinical practice; and
- patient-centred and multidisciplinary care.
Advances in artificial intelligence, neurotechnology and data-driven medicine are creating new opportunities for more accurate diagnosis, personalised treatment and more efficient care pathways.
At the same time, the human side of healthcare is becoming increasingly important. Communication, collaboration and psychological safety within healthcare teams will be among the issues discussed at the conference.
The programme will also address complex clinical dilemmas, the prevention of drug toxicity, the frontiers of intensive care, and innovative treatments ranging from microrobotics to neurostimulation.
The conference will examine how academic medicine, scientific research and technological innovation can shape the hospital of the future and contribute to the next stage of development in Estonian healthcare.
