Manufacturing companies still rely heavily on manual administrative work, with incident reports recorded on paper, data transferred between spreadsheets and process documentation requiring regular updates.
Sykah is developing virtual workers designed to handle these tasks through communication channels already used by industrial teams, including WhatsApp, email and voice.
The system can, for example, allow an operator to report an incident through a voice message from the production line, with the virtual worker recording the information directly in the company’s system.
In another use case, when a customer requests a declaration of conformity, the virtual worker can collect the relevant batch data, prepare a draft based on the applicable specifications and send it to the quality assurance team for approval.
According to Sykah, the system is designed to operate without requiring employees to learn new applications or companies to undertake lengthy integration projects. Actions are subject to a validation process before information is entered into company systems, an approach the company says is intended to support reliability in regulated manufacturing environments.
Sykah was founded by Daniyal Shahrokhian, who has spent a decade working in robotics and machine learning across different industries. In recent years, he has led AI transformation initiatives in manufacturing and the distribution of physical goods.
The company’s goal is to make deploying a virtual worker similar to onboarding a new employee: providing the worker with the relevant process and instructions so it can begin carrying out assigned tasks.
