The event was addressed by AHEPA Hospital Governor Panagiotis Panteliadis, the Governor of the 4th Health Region of Macedonia and Thrace, Dr Panagiotis Bogiatzidis, and Melina–Maria Dermentzopoulou, Deputy Regional Governor for Health and Social Solidarity of the Region of Central Macedonia.

Mr Panteliadis emphasised that the investment marks an important step in the hospital’s modernisation, with the primary aim of improving patient safety and providing meaningful support to healthcare professionals. Dr Bogiatzidis highlighted the contribution of digital transformation to the modernisation of healthcare facilities, operational efficiency and service quality. Ms Dermentzopoulou underlined the importance of regional support for public hospitals and the use of funding instruments to implement major infrastructure projects.

Presentations and subsequent discussions highlighted the benefits of digital modernisation for patients, healthcare professionals and the hospital’s overall operations. Faster access to information, support for clinical decision-making, data security and improved communication are expected to make a significant contribution to the quality of healthcare services.
