On 29 October, the annual BioPhoT conference will take place at the University of Latvia’s House of Science, bringing together researchers, entrepreneurs, industry representatives, investors and policymakers.
The conference aims to showcase the achievements of the BioPhoT innovation project and outline its next steps, while exploring how to translate scientific excellence into globally competitive innovations. Registration is available via the LUMA website.
One of the conference’s central themes will be the journey from laboratory research to market-ready technologies, with a focus on the key challenges and opportunities involved in technology commercialisation.
Working language: English.
The BioPhoT conference will bring together representatives of research institutions, knowledge-intensive businesses and technology companies, as well as investment and policy experts, to share their experience and insights.
The programme will feature discussions on the achievements and lessons learned from innovation projects supported by the BioPhoT platform, as well as on cooperation between science and industry in Latvia. A dedicated exhibition will showcase technologies developed by teams participating in the BioPhoT programme.
Two panel discussions will focus on the key stages and challenges researchers and project teams face when translating scientific ideas into industrial applications and bringing them to market.
Attendees will have the opportunity to explore prototypes developed through the platform’s projects, learn about their practical applications and development potential, and discover opportunities to collaborate with research teams. The programme will also include presentations by BioPhoT-supported teams, highlighting their achievements and opportunities for future collaboration.
