Clementine secures $2M to scale its AI hearing activation platform

PublishedSeptember 10, 2026

Clementine, an AI platform designed specifically for the hearing-care industry, has raised $2 million in a funding round led by European early-stage healthtech investor Healthy.Capital.

The company addresses one of audiology’s biggest challenges: most people with hearing loss never take action, and clinics miss 30–50% of inbound calls, resulting in lost patients and revenue.

Clementine’s AI Hearing Care Agent, Matthew, answers calls 24/7, educates patients, handles objections, books appointments, and ensures consistent follow-up, while remaining fully aligned with clinical workflows and escalation protocols.

Early results from live clinics show:

  • Higher appointment booking rates
  • Improved patient readiness and trust
  • Reduced administrative burden for staff

Clinics don’t need more leads; they need better conversations at the right moment. Matthew, Our AI Hearing Care Agent, ensures no patient inquiry goes unanswered.

According to Douwe Jippes, Managing partner at Healthy.Capital, Clementine represents a new category in AI-driven healthcare activation.

“Clementine combines deep domain expertise with a clear AI platform strategy that can scale globally” said Douwe Jippes. “We believe this approach will fundamentally change how people with hearing disability engage with hearing healthcare. And that’s impact we like to help scale”

The funding will support broader US rollout, additional integrations with clinic systems, and further development of AI-driven patient education and activation tools.
