CareHand selected for Health Founders Estonia’s DEVELOP program

PublishedAugust 26, 2026

Every day, nurses and caregivers manually move patients between beds and stretchers. Although routine, the repeated lifting and pulling can cause serious physical strain for caregivers and create discomfort, fear, and safety risks for patients.

CareHand is developing a compact and affordable robotic patient-transfer system, with a mission to make patient transfers safe, dignified, and effortless for both patients and nurses.

The company has been selected for the DEVELOP program run by Health Founders Estonia, marking the next stage of its journey. The program will provide a structured environment for CareHand to continue developing its functional prototype, work with experienced mentors and healthcare experts, and prepare for future evaluation in hospitals and elderly-care settings.

CareHand extended thanks to the Health Founders Estonia team for the opportunity, guidance, honest feedback, and support throughout the journey from DEFINE to DEVELOP.
