Hadassah Medical Center opens in Limassol

PublishedAugust 12, 2026

Hadassah Medical Center officially opened in Limassol on 1 July 2026, establishing a permanent presence in Cyprus for the first time.

The opening was approved at a meeting of Hadassah’s relevant governing bodies in Israel earlier this year, with representatives of the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO), Hadassah Medical Ltd (HML), Hadassah Women’s Zionist Organization of America (HWZOA) and Hadassah Cyprus participating.

The new centre focuses on advanced medicine, diagnostics, specialised medical care, rehabilitation, prevention and wellness. Its services are organised around four areas: advanced diagnostic medicine using modern medical technologies; specialised medical care based on Hadassah’s clinical standards and protocols; rehabilitation and recovery programmes; and prevention and wellness services.

The centre’s establishment brings Hadassah’s clinical expertise, medical knowledge and research experience to Cyprus. It is also intended to support the development of Cyprus as a regional destination for specialised healthcare and medical tourism in the Eastern Mediterranean.

The opening forms part of a broader development plan that includes the expansion of medical services and infrastructure in Cyprus, as well as the planned development of a Hadassah hospital in Nicosia.

Through its direct affiliation with the hospital in Jerusalem, the Limassol centre gives patients in Cyprus access to internationally recognised expertise, coordinated specialist consultations and structured referral pathways when highly specialised care is required. The next stage is already planned: the Hadassah Health Park Hospital in Nicosia, targeted for 2029.
