Croatia opens €400,000 call to strengthen healthcare workforce management

The Call for Proposals is open until 2 November 2026, offering a total of €400,000 to support the development and management of human resources in Croatia’s healthcare sector.

The call aims to support effective management of human resources in healthcare, including the planning, development, deployment and long-term retention of healthcare professionals across all fields.

As the central government body responsible for designing, coordinating and implementing health policy, the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Croatia plays a key role in ensuring a functional, accessible and sustainable healthcare system.

The general objective is to improve the human resources management system in Croatia’s healthcare sector, while the specific objective is to support the development and management of the healthcare workforce through analysis, needs assessment and the establishment of a framework for the transfer of competencies between professions.

The total funding available amounts to €400,000, of which €340,000 (85%) will be provided through ESF+ co-financing and €60,000 (15%) through national co-financing.

Project proposals must be submitted electronically via the eKohezija information system portal. Full tender documentation is available on the ESF+ Croatia website and the EU Funds portal.
