Cobots, physical AI and $1.4 billion in funding: NEURA Robotics momentum on iconic Nasdaq screen

PublishedJuly 17, 2026

For NEURA Robotics, a German high-tech robotics company based in Metzingen near Stuttgart, being featured on the iconic Nasdaq screen in Times Square, New York marked a double milestone.

The company’s “Physical AI” technology enables robots to act intelligently in the real world, and it has been backed by up to $1.4 billion in funding.

NEURA Robotics describes its mission as serving humanity by building robots that take over repetitive and dangerous tasks, allowing humans to focus on what matters most.

Numerous industries are already successfully using collaborative robots, including the medical sector.

In laboratories, they handle sample preparation, pipetting, and test processing with high precision. Hospitals use cobots for internal logistics, such as transporting medicines, laboratory samples, or sterile materials, NEURA Robotics explains.

At the same time, they support compliance with hygiene regulations by disinfecting rooms and surfaces using UV light or spray systems. Because they can work safely alongside humans, cobots can be easily integrated into sterile areas and are therefore ideal for busy healthcare environments, the company says.

For example, by disinfecting rooms and surfaces, robots help minimize infection risks and ensure reliable compliance with hygiene regulations. Accurate pipetting and sample handling enable consistently high quality in tests and analyses.

Meanwhile, collaborative robots take over monotonous or physically demanding tasks, allowing doctors and nurses to focus on patient care. Internal processes, such as transporting medication or sterile materials, can also be efficiently handled by cobots.
